Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Infinity Sounds is run by CJ Fusion Pty Ltd (ABN 80 679 671 606) trading as Infinity Sounds ("we", "us"). We take your privacy seriously and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
1. If you're just listening
You can listen and tap Hit or Miss without an account. To count each play and vote fairly, your browser stores a random ID (named is_device) in its local storage. It isn't linked to your name or email. We use it only to count one play per listener per day and one vote per track. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
We don't use advertising trackers, sell data, or build profiles of listeners.
2. If you apply as an artist
We collect:
- Shown publicly on your artist page: artist name, location, bio, profile picture, social and music platform links, your tracks, artwork and track descriptions.
- Kept private: your real name, email address and password (stored encrypted by our login provider, and we can't see it). We also keep private the links or footage you send to show you're a real artist, your no-AI declarations, and messages you send us.
We use this information to review your application, run your account, show your music, check compliance with the no-AI rule, contact you about your account, and keep the site safe.
3. Information collected automatically
Like any website, our hosting and database providers automatically record technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. They use this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use it to identify listeners.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the site, and only as much as they need:
- Supabase: database, logins and file storage. Our project is hosted in Sydney, Australia.
- Netlify: website hosting. Its servers may be located in the United States and other countries.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr: deliver fonts and code to your browser and may receive your IP address. Their servers may be located in the United States and other countries.
- Our email delivery provider: sends account and confirmation emails.
Because of this, some information may be stored or processed overseas, including in the United States. We use reputable providers that have their own security and privacy obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law or to deal with unlawful activity.
5. Decisions about you
Artist applications and no-AI reviews are decided by a real person, not by automated software.
6. Emails
We send emails you need for your account, such as confirmations, password resets and decisions about applications or tracks. We'll only send news or marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them. Every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe.
7. Keeping it safe and how long we keep it
We use encrypted connections, access controls and providers with strong security. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and take steps to limit the damage. We keep artist information while your account is open. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your information within 90 days, unless we need to keep some of it to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute. If an application is declined, we delete it within 90 days.
8. Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. We don't charge for this. You can update most of your artist profile yourself from your dashboard.
9. Under 18s
Artist accounts are for people aged 18 and over. If we learn that we've collected information from an artist under 18, we'll delete it.
10. Complaints
If you're worried about how we've handled your information, email us and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll let artists know by email.
